Tour de Togo 2015

Erik rode in the Tour de Togo again this year!  It's a fundraiser for our church camp.  The riders ride between 70-100 miles each day for three days, depending on the route.  The kids and I didn't plan on it, but we helped drive support.  Support vehicles are spread out through the route and have things like water and snacks an also first aid and tools to help fix flat bike tires, etc.  The kids were in the car all day for three days straight and it got really long, but they were troopers!

The riders getting ready to take off.

The kids got so happy to see Erik go by!

The first evening we were able to go to the lake and swim after the riders all came in.  It was a much needed time to refresh!

Morning prayer on the second day

Each year they give out funny little awards on the last night.  Erik got two awards and I got one!  :)  They also gave the kids little treat bags for being soooooooo good in the car!

All of the riders on the last morning!

The tour always ends at our church camp.  Our kiddos were anxiously waiting for the riders to get there!

So proud of this guy!  After seeing the tour this year, all four kids think they are going to ride it next year!!
