More Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2011 Recap

Uncle Brandon, Aunt Karlie, cousin Kinley, and their dog Kyper came all the way from Oklahoma to visit for the entire week of Thanksgiving. Despite sharing more than just the Thanksgiving meal (a nasty cough and cold, Hand Foot and Mouth Disease, and Pink Eye... just to name a few!), it was one of the best Thanksgivings I can ever remember...

A week of sweet baby kisses,

sweet baby secrets,

and big baby hugs.

Fun afternoons at the park,

loving our time home with Daddy.

A week of precious memories made with our sweet baby Kinley,

and teaching the kids what Thanksgiving was all about.

Nana sent us a turkey from Oklahoma (THANK YOU, NANA!),

and Karlie and I (but mostly Karlie) prepared the sides.

We ate our Thanksgiving meal in our pajamas (because we can when we're the adults!),

and later put a solid family effort into the Rockband competition!

It was a week of togetherness,

happiness,

and discovering one of the BEST pizza places EVER!

We were able to work around nap times to show them around the hospital,

which is kind of hard to do when you have just as many kids as adults (and us adults like naps, too!).

It was a week of memories. A week of smiles. A week of Thanksgiving.

Three Little Turkeys

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent most of the day in the car on the way home from Erik's interview. We arrived home just in time to have a family Elefun competition before bed. I really thought Erik was going to win, but I totally dominated the game and currently hold the Scharrer family record of 16 butterflies.

We actually were able to celebrate our family's Thanksgiving a couple weeks ago when we traveled to Park Rapids for my uncle's funeral. Since the whole family was in town for the funeral, we had a Thanksgiving meal, and it was WONDERFUL. Here are some pictures from our time there that we spent with the family.
