Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Our rhubarb was up when we got back from AZ!

Got our garden planted...beans, peas, pumpkins, cucumbers, watermelon

We got 97 worms out of our garden (and left just as many - if not more - behind!).

28 hour shifts are killers.

While I was cleaning out the rental house, T fell into the tub!  I couldn't find him for the longest time and walked into the bathroom to him balancing like this!

Diapers for all while we were out of town and the boys decided to play in the hose and I didn't have a change of clothes!  Good thing T is a big baby!

Second fire of the year with good friends.

Skogen has been praying and praying for a skateboard.  One Saturday, we ventured over to a garage sale in our neighborhood and there was a skateboard for sale for $1!  Skogen bought it with his money out of his piggy bank that he has been saving up.

Arizona Pictures

Since returning from Arizona, we've jumped right into summer!  Even though the weather hasn't been super cooperative, we've made the most of what sun we've had.  Our garden is in, the front yard flower boxes are planted, the lawn has been mowed and we've started our summer activities.  The kids have swimming lessons every morning, soccer two nights a week, and they are getting ready to start tennis next week, too!   Before too much time passes, here are all of our pictures from Arizona.  I don't have time to blog about everything, so the pictures will have to tell their own stories....
