Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Lately...

Maida teaching Skogen.  Love it!
Playing in a tub, having a good old time!
Already a hockey lover?
A picture to send to Daddy, who was out of town.
Frosties for treats as being good kids!
What a special treat!
Playing school in the front yard - spring FINALLY came for a few days!
First picnic of the year on the front steps!
Baby boy got his first tooth!  The bottom left tooth made it's appearance after a night of no sleep and a  horrible crabby day.
Boys playing tablets before bedtime.
Ice skating in the kitchen
Maida and "Tory," her baby sister  :)
Playing at the mall
A sweet sibling pep talk after Skogen fell and got hurt.
Baby felt so cool playing with his siblings at the mall
Cold Stone ice cream
Torsten's first Cold Stone - he LOVED it!
My Mama and Daddy Cardinals - hope they stick around
When Daddy's out of town, all rules go out the window!  Donuts for dinner!

Our best friends came back to town after being on a rotation down in Arizona for a month.  We were so excited to pick them up from the airport and have dinner with them!

I found Torsten standing up in his crib one morning - time to raise the crib railing!
Torsten also decided to stand in his high chair - time to start strapping him in!
And he started standing up in the bath - time to start giving him a bath in the big tub.
Maida and Mommy and Bunny, the class penguin, on the way to Mommy's eye doctor appointment.
