Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

July in Pictures

Although short, I love this little snipet of our life as we were walking to the park one evening...
I love Maida's bubbly personality and her young beauty.  She makes me smile.
I love the way Maida, Skogen, and Klaasen love and dwell on their baby brother and, in fact, most of the time he's referred to as, "The Baby."  He truly is OUR little baby.
I love Klaasen's use of the word "goed" (because it reminds me how bitty he still is), his dirty face, and his doctor shirt that has the neck all stretched out.
I love that Skogen is talking about a spider web because the kids have a new found obsession with spiders (which are the topic of almost every conversation), and I love that he is wearing his favorite pair of shorts and how this was probably his fifth day in a row he was wearing them.
I love my four curly haired babies and never ever ever want these peaceful walks to the park on perfect summer evenings to come to an end.

Pictures from July...
One of our favorite summer things to do is slip'n'slide!

Torsten helped me unpack my suitcase after we got back from a family reunion up north.

Klaasen had his first night of soccer!

We enjoyed a nice family day at drill with Daddy!

We went hiking around Cannon Falls!

Me and my love, finding time to cherish and love one another in between raising four crazy kids!

Honkers baseball game, the Rochester minor league baseball team

The boys' tan lines!

Torsten LOVES to swing!
