Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

It was love...

at first sight...

And he wouldn't leave her alone for the rest of the day...

Everywhere Amelia went...

Skogen went, too.

**********
Yesterday I took the kids down to Meg's house for a playdate. Meg and I had the same due date with Amelia and Skogen, but Amelia came two days before Skogen. It's so fun to have a friend with a baby the same age. Meg and I talked all throughout our pregnancies, births, and now as they are getting older we've been able to bounce parenting ideas off of each other and share special baby stories. I can tell our kids will be good friends already!

  2. Your little boy is growing so fast! Too cute him chasing his little friend!

How is med school going!? What stage is your husband currently at...I've forgotten? Lane is third year, half way through his surgery rotation. It's crazy to have the coffee pot programmed for 3:55a.m.! He's ready for this rotation to end!!
