Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

September in Pictures

First day of riding the bus to school
First day of school for Skogen and the first and last day of school for Klaasen (he got kicked out after the first day - HA!)

The first day of school was hard on the little guy.  We got home from school, he went out to play, and ten minutes later I found him asleep in the wheelbarrow!

Date night!

Parent orientation at Maida's school.

Klaasen busted his head open when Mommy was rocking the baby to sleep, so Skogen and Maida got ice and bandages and fixed him up!

Date night camping by the fire.  While we were sleeping, the deck caught on fire, and burned a big hole in it!
