Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Carrie and Tyler's Wedding

My cousin's daughter Carrie got married!  It was one of our kids' first weddings since now days so many people don't invite kids.  It was fun to be able to share the day with the WHOLE family!  We made so many good memories!!!

I love these little gems!

On the shuttle to the reception!

Weird and crazy, this man is my favorite wedding date!

Erik decided to spice up the wedding pics a little bit!

Most of the cousins at the wedding with the bride!

I stole this picture from Instagram because I loved it!!

After 50+ years, mom and dad still have the moves!

The next morning we spent swimming at the hotel!  SO MUCH FUN!!!!

About 20 miles from home, the four kids and I ran out of gas.  We probably would have made it to the gas station, but we pulled off at the only close exit and they had the entire street in this small town blocked off for a parade.  So, we left our car by an old abandoned restaurant and walked into town.  We watched the parade and then I bought a gas can and some gas and we hauled it back to our car.  It was quite the workout  and very very hot!
