Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Fall Family Visit

Uncle Brandon. Aunt Karlie. Cousin Kinley. Kyper the dog. Brother time. Sister-in-law time. Cousin time. IKEA. Joe Sensor's. Football. Church. Old church friends. Lots of pictures. Concussion. Nursing. Babies not napping. Pot Belly Sandwiches. Great-Grandma Viola. Ice cream. Halloween costumes. Tacos. Laughs. Smiles. Joy.
Two weekends ago, Erik's brother and his family came to visit us for a very short weekend! They drove all night Friday night (14 hours!) from Oklahoma. They stayed here Saturday and Sunday and drove back Sunday night. It was so good to see them and introduce them to Klaasen. Klaasen and their daughter, Kinley, are just four weeks apart. We love spending time with them and hope to live closer to them someday.

  1. It's good to hear from you! Would you believe that Lane is doing Emergency Medicine, too!? Good luck to you guys. Where do you hope to go for residency? We REALLY hope to stay here in Little Rock.

I probably won't get to go on many of the interview trips with Lane because our oldest son is in school. I do plan to go to Houston with him, as I have two close friends who live there that I'd like to visit!
