Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Pumpkin Carving 2010

Thank you, Grandma, for the pumpkin!

Maida did the honors of pulling off the stem.

Skogen helped Maida scoop out the insides (or rather, covered up the hole so that she couldn't get her spoon in there - everything's always got to be a fight!).

Klaasen had a great time watching! He sat there for 45 minutes as happy as could be and when I took him out of the bumbo, he had filled his pants up to his shoulder blades! It was a MESS!

Maida picked out the design and she really wanted a Cinderella. This is the best Cinderella I could do. I looked at a picture of her face for a guide.

Maida and Klaasen enjoying our pumpkin carving night.

We turned out all of the lights and lit our pumpkin!

Happy Halloween!
