Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Oh, to be a kid again...

My cousin Melody got me thinking the other day about old times that we used to have here in Park Rapids during the summers. So I went downstairs to look at some photo albums to stir up some more memories! I found these pictures and couldn't help but post them.

Melody and I had matching outfits with our cabbage patches! My Aunt Becky made them. I often wonder what happened to these outfits!

More matching outfits! (And yes, I had a mullet! Laugh all you want!)

Apparently this was the fastest way to give us all baths!

Michael (Melody's brother), Darin (my nephew), Melody, and me out at Grandpa's swimming. Grandpa had this old red boat that we'd occasionally go in.

We used to have the Parks family from church out to go swimming too! Myra (Melody's sister) is the little baby in the front and Crystal and Amber Parks are on the right. Do they even make torpedoes anymore?

These were the best days. I miss being a kid!
