Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Fun Family Visit

I didn't have any time to post last week as we were so busy getting things ready for Erik's family to come visit us from Oklahoma! They arrived EARLY on Saturday morning and stayed through Monday morning. It was soooo fun to see them and I was very sad to say goodbye to them when they left. Maida was extremely happy that they were here. She always had someone to play with, sing with, laugh with, and love on. We are truly blessed with such a great family! The only problem is, they live so far away. That's why we want to say a special "thank you" to Nana, Papa, Uncle B, Aunt Kar-Kar, and Kyper for taking time off of work to come up and see us! If you think about it today, you can say a special prayer of safety for them as they are traveling home today.

More stories from the weekend and pictures to come...
