Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Weekend at Bumpa and Grandma's

We had a great weekend at Bumpa and Grandma's house! Saturday evening we went to a beautiful outdoor wedding. Our friends, Crystal and Tony, got married in their front yard. It was such a perfect night for a wedding. On Sunday Erik played in a golf tournament with some high school buddies, and WON! Maida and I visited church with Bumpa and Grandma and also got to go to Uncle Gary and Aunt Carol's house for dinner and small group. After a relaxing Monday morning, we got home last night, just in time for some elk steak with some friends from medical school and the Vikings game! Maida spent most of the weekend running around yelling, "Bumpa! Bumpa! Bumpa!" or "Gaga! Gaga! Gaga!" She sure enjoyed her time with her grandparents!
