Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Maida's First Paint

Being very careful with the paints.

Maida wanting "mo" paint.

While Mommy was cleaning up the paint, Maida decided to color pen all over the dining room wall. Does anyone have any good tips on how to remove it? I have a feeling our landlord wouldn't be too happy if we moved out and this was still on the wall. Please leave me suggestions!

  1. Try a Magic Eraser. It gets everything I've ever tried off the wall. They are about $3 for a box of 2.

I agree! The girls next door color on their walls with pen, crayons, markers and who knows what else! The Magic Erasers have gotten all of it!
