Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

  1. Those are nice pictures! I especially like the ones that show your little pregnant tummy. You are nothing but baby! You are very blessed-- I balloon everywhere!

Erik was proudly displaying the pictures in class after lab today and scolding (well not really) us for letting him get pictures taken before he got his hair cut - lol. I think the pictures turned out really nice. And as I told Erik today - Maida is seriously one of the cutest little kids I have ever seen!

  3. Hannah- I HAVE ballooned out everywhere! I've already gained 25 pounds and let me tell ya, that's not all in my belly either (I'm just thankful the photographer didn't ask to photograph my thunder thighs)! But thanks for the nice comments.

Ashley- I was so mad at Erik for not getting his hair cut. Haha, he had time to do it before his parents came(but of course, playing intramurals is a more important waste of time than getting his hair cut for family pictures!!). I'm glad that he showed them off. He's so cute!! I hope you're doing well!!!
