Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

At the Lake

Our neighbor's parents live on a lake. She invited me and the kids to join her and her little boy, Brayden at the lake this morning, along with her sister-in-law and two nieces. It was so much fun! Maida really loved swimming in the water! Skogen liked it until he fell in and got all wet. Then he spent most of the rest of the time either eating or testing his boundaries on the dock! It was a nice, enjoyable morning in the sun.

Skogen saying, "Cheeeeeeeeese!" and baby Brayden in his cool shades behind.
Maida splashing in the water. I had to remind her not to splash people, which her and Skogen both thought was really fun to do!
Maida climbing on the rocks with her new friend, Maddie.
We had a yummy picnic in the sun.
I could not get Maida and Skogen to look at me at the same time!

Maida and Skogen had fun with our neighbor's neices, Maddie and Annika!
Maida yelling at me saying, "My husband doesn't want you to take a picture of me right now!" Of course her husband had to come to the lake with us! We just can't get rid of him!
Two weeks ago I thought that I was going to have to get Skogen's hair cut again soon... that was before it got so humid! Now his hair is almost an inch shorter with the humidity! It just curls right up.

Thanks, Nikki, for inviting us to go to the lake! It was so much fun!
