Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Playing Church

This is a really long video. I actually cut out more than half of it as it started out being almost nine minutes long! Most of you probably won't watch the whole thing, but if you do, here are some of my favorite things about this video...
* When Erik asks what their favorite song is and Maida replies, "Ninty-O-fifty-three."
* How Skogen stands up whenever Maida stands up and sits down whenever Maida sits down.
* When Maida sings, "I stand on the Lord..." a song she made up.
* When Maida gets mad at Skogen for singing too loud... this really happens in real church! Skogen sings SO loud that we have to keep reminding him to sing a little quieter.
