Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Oliver

On Sunday afternoon we went and visited a new little baby! Maida and Skogen's friends, Amelia and Eli, got a new little brother last week. Oliver wasn't only over due by over a week, but he put his momma through over 60 hours of labor! We were SOOOO excited to finally meet him. He weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces and was 21.25 inches long. WOWSERS - a BIG boy!
Holding him, I was immediately baby crazy.
So was Maida!
It's a good thing we'll have our own soon.

  1. WOW...60 hours?!?! Go Carly! Oliver looks absolutely precious and Maida seems like such a proud big friend/sister. I'm excited to hear the good news about your baby #3...not too much longer :)

  3. Amber, I was totally thinking the same thing when I looked at these pictures. Funny! I have no idea how that happened!
