Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Highlights Of Our Fifth Anniversary Day...

Something went up in our backyard...
Which was the BIGGEST highlight of our day and our week!
The fence we've been waiting for all summer! Now Barkley! can run around without being tied up to a tree.
Maida fell asleep sitting up in her chair while we were making dinner...
Erik made some killer steaks on the grill (and I got a double jogging stroller (pictured below, behind the Hub)...
We had S'mores for dessert!
We also went out to dinner the day after and played "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader," (don't laugh, it's one of our favorite board games!) after the kids went to bed.
Over all it was a very laid-back relaxing weekend at home with the kids.
