Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

While at Grandma's house, Maida was able to go play at the park one morning.
Upon arrival to the park, Maida decided that she was going to go down the very tallest slide there, but when she got to the top of the slide, she was afraid to go down, despite Grandma's coaching at the bottom.
So, with no other options available, she decided to climb back down the ladder.
On the way back down, as she was struggling to hang on, she angrily proclaimed, "I'm really getting sick of this."

It's so funny to hear the phrases she picks up. "Holy cow," "Monkey brother," "What's your problem?" "Okie dokie," and "Allllllriiiiight," are some of my other favorites.
