Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Here are some pictures of Barkley! and his best friend Ella playing. Ella lives in the duplex right above ours, so they play a lot. I think they've fallen in love, but Ella's daddy doesn't want to admit that she likes boys yet! According to him, she's way too young!

Ella with the take down!
Ella with the pin!!!
Ella and Barkley! worn out from playing so hard.

I have been wanting to take a picture of Erik and Maida when they are all dressed up, but Maida won't look at the camera. This is the best I could do on Sunday (it probably isn't even worth posting!)...
Today I put Maida's hair in a ponytail! It was sooooooo cute. I love her little chubby cheeks and her ears that stick out a little bit. I never ever ever want to forget anything about her at this stage, but it's hard being a mommy and trying to remember everything about every minute with your children. However, I know that's what we all want to do because they grow up too fast!
