Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Megan and Dave's Wedding

We had a great time at Megan and Dave's wedding on Saturday! Here are some pictures from the evening. (Click on the collage to see the pictures bigger!)

We didn't have our regular camera with, so we were only able to take a few pictures (and we didn't even get a close-up of the bride and groom!!!). The majority of these pictures are from Geri (thank you, Geri!).

  1. What happened to Maida's lip? That looks like a lot of blood on Erik's shirt.

  2. Haha, she got knocked over on the dance floor and did a faceplant! It was a ton of blood, but nothing major. There was a doctor there who checked her out, but we couldn't even tell where exactly the blood was coming from! We gave her some ice water to drink and that stopped the bleeding. Yesterday I noticed that she has a bruise on her top lip and also on her gums above her two front teeth!
