Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Prayers for Kate McRae

After Scott died, I didn't think that I'd ever be able to pray like that for anyone else again.  I was burnt out- burnt out from praying and feeling like God didn't answer.  However, as life moved on, and I've healed, I have to admit that I've been praying again!  And lately I've REALLY been praying for a specific little girl that I have never met.    I'd like to ask you to join me in praying for her.  You can jump in a live stream prayer vigil tonight at 9:30 EST at: http://www.livestream.com/brianwurzell.  You can also find updates on Kate here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mcraekate.  Please please go read up on Kate and pray for her and her family.
