Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

20 Week Ultrasound

Our 20 week ultrasound was great! It was so fun to have the kids involved and so excited about seeing the baby. Maida picked out her own outfit for the occasion and she was SO proud to be there and be the big sister. I was thankful that we were able to schedule the ultrasound late at night so that Erik could be there, too. Baby was head down for now (which is so much more comfortable than Skogen when he was breech!) and had his/her legs curled way up tight. That was my favorite part, seeing the legs. It was so so so stinking cute. Of course we didn't get the picture of the cute legs because it could have potentially exposed a private part. :) Speaking of, we stuck with our decision and did NOT find out the gender.
My doctor called this morning and said that everything looked good on the ultrasound and baby looks healthy. Dates are right on.
Enjoy the pictures!
