Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.
Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.
For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...
“As the Scripture says, ‘Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.’ But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed? And how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out? As the Scripture says, ‘How wonderful is the coming of messengers who bring good news!’”
Romans 10:13-15
“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.”
Romans 12:9-13
Names are so hard!! I think that is why God gives us 40 weeks of being pregnant, just so we can pick a name! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! And holy cow, it really does take all 40 weeks to decide, too! :) My goal is to have a name by the time the baby gets here. I don't want the baby to remain nameless for days until we finally decide (Hannah, that's what happened with Kenan!) I think it would be a little easier if we would have found out what gender we were having!
ReplyDeleteAs a girl's name, I would pick Salome. It sounds pretty, and comes from Mark 15:40.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any good K names right now, sadly.
She cracks me up!! Definitely all girl!! Love your new header! SO cute!!
