Welcome to the Scharrer family's real life story! Most of our story is written for, and about, our four kids and the spice they add to our lives. It's our story of happiness, craziness, and sometimes ridiculousness. We've journaled through childbirth, the terrible two's, private school (and our public school experience), an autism diagnosis, medical school, residency, and long-term mission work in Africa.

Now we're following a new adventure, which involves a 45 foot motorcoach, homeschool, and as many ski slopes as we can go down in one year.

For posts from while we were living in Zimbabwe and updates about our future plans in Zimbabwe, please see our mission blog...

Poopty-Doo-Doo

Maida was teaching Skogen how to draw while I was cleaning my NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS (more to come on that in a few days....). They were doing such a good job of sharing and she was doing such a good job of being patient with him when he would throw the pen or toss all of the paper on the ground. It was such a precious moment that I decided to take some pictures. After I snapped a few pictures, Maida said, "Oh, Kogen! Let me smell your butt." Then she jumped off the stool, smelled his butt, and then yelled, "Moooo-ooooom! Kogen has poopty-doo-doo!" I just thought that was so funny. She's a big helper! Now if only I could teach her to change the poopty-doo-doo, then we'd be in business! :)

  1. If you figure out how to get Maida to change him, let me know. I'd like to put that into action.
